The Trial was held in  Toodyay area River rd. It was a lovely day with clear blue sky. Two of the entries was their first time ever to run in a retrieving trial. Marilyn Dawson Flat Coated Ret (Rebel) which won the L-Plate & did two of the three runs in Novice. The other was new members,  Paul & Urte Clifton GSP (Wally) Katydid Troublesome. Wally missed the first run in the L-Plate but got the hang of it & completed the next two runs.

The Novice; four of the sixs completed the three runs.  Thanks to Martyn Dickson who came down just to work in the trial. We were finished by lunch time & Raymond  had the sausage sizzle lunch all ready  to eat. After lunch we did some retrieving training, to work on what had let the dogs down in the trial. Also new member Simon  Campbell arrive at lunch time to do some trianing with his new (Benanee)GSP puppy.

Overall I think it was a good day, enjoyed by all. Thanks to Anne Cameron, bringing down  her lovely cakes &  Sonja Pfister.

Novice Field Trial:- We met in the usual place Meckering Road House at 7.30am. It was overcast & rain on & off driving up there. With one of the handlers quoted "that it never rain in Meckering" We were feeling quite safe with the weather. Half way during the first brace, Mallee & Zachary, heavy rain poured down, with strong winds for about 10 minutes.  Getting everyone saturated. Mallee thought this is to much for a 13yr old & ran back to the galery, if to say put me in the car.  We had showers of & on during the rest of the trial.  Condition were hard. Every dog had non producing points, unable to locate the game. Chelsea had a back in the first round, to Jackson point. Five dogs went to the second round. Chelsea having two finds & shot over once,  but un-steady, with Zac backing her.  Zac had a find but not shot over. Zachary had two finds & shot over once, with zac backing him.  Mallee, Heidi  & Jackson both worked well as all the dogs.   Only one dog (Chelsea) filling her Card. It was announce higherst scoring dogs only.

Trial News: The Easter weekend had  All Age Trial Saturday & Sunday, held at Arthur River. Were most of the trialers headed down Friday evening & camped until the Monday.   Saturday was the RC of WA, Peter Reekie Trial judge by Ray Johnson. Not long after this trial Peter Reekie pass away.

Sunday was the LRC of WA, Marie Ewen Trial. Judge by Eleanor Johnson, this was Eleanor  first All Age appointment. 

 

The next long weekend, was ANRTC & back at Arthur River again camping from Friday to Monday. Saturday we had Novice, Restricted & All Age judge by both Ray & Eleanor Johnson. The Sunday also had Novice, Restricted & All Age judge by, four judges.  It was enjoyable & great weekend. Eleanor won the raffle a bottle of Whisky & Ray won a couple of prizes as well.

 

Our members being doing well in the trials, Martyn Dickson & his (GSP) Dana, Wauchope Jaswinder NRD,  has won & place in Restricted. Eleanor & Zac (Brittany) has won a Novice & placed in Restricted & also finished two All Age trials. A total of 3 All Ages he has finished. Heather Ellis with her (Golden) Czarda, has won or place just about every All Age Retrieving trial so far. Anne Cameron & Ella (Golden) won a Restricted gaining NRD title & also gain a TD in Tracking. Anne other (Golden) Holly has also gain a TD in Tracking.(see results below)

 

GDC of WA 24/6/10 held a All Age , & on Sunday 25/6/10, Novice & Restricted both judge by Jack Lynch from NSW. Once again in the All Age Heather Ellis was in the placing & Martyn Dickson & Dana (GSP) was placed in the Restricted. The trials were held in Northam along the  Avon river, Katrine rd.

 

 ANRTC 3rd/4th July Hobbs rd Beverley.  Eleanor Johnson with Zac (Brittany) won the Novice his second Novice win. Martyn Dickson once again placed in the Restricted with Dana (GSP). Well done to both of them.

 Sunday the All Age Eleanor with Zac (Brittany) was happy that they finish the All Age.

11th July RC of WA Judge L Strang.  The Restricted was won by Martyn Dickson & Dana (GSP) Wauchope Jaswinder NRD which was Martyn third Restricted win gaining Dana RRD title. Congratulation. Eleanor Johnson (Brittany) Zac, Ch Wauchope Kicking Bird ET, handle by Ray Johnson finished second. Well done. The trial was held Lavendar Farm Toodyay. 

I believe associate member Marilyn Dawson with her (Flat Coat) Rebel is gaining more experience in Novice being her first year. Has finished 3 of 4 trials, well done.
